The Ship Inn, Upavon
The Ship Inn is a 16th century freehouse set in the rural village of Upavon only a 15 minute drive from Stonehenge. It is a traditional thatched inn with low beamed ceilings and open fires to add to its character. It’s a great lunch choice for a full day’s tour being on our route between Avebury and Stonehenge As it says on their website this is a traditional country pub in the heart of Wiltshire. You can choose from a whole range of pub favourites including filled baguettes, ploughmans and a good selection of classic hot meals such as fish and chips. local sausages, speciality burgers and pie of the day all served in an extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere whatever time of year.
